The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy, Harare is pleased to announce a presentation on Religious Pluralism in the United States. Please join us to hear from Mr. Nisbert Taringa who has recently returned from the U.S. where he was a participant in an intensive seminar held by the American Studies Institute.
Taringa is a Professor at the University of Zimbabwe in the Department of Religious Studies, Classics & Philosophy where he teaches World Religion, Phenomenology of Religion and African Traditional Religions. He holds a Masters of Arts in Intercultural Theology from Radboud University, Netherlands. He is currently studying for a PhD in Religious Studies.
The presentation will examine the patterns and processes of American Religious Pluralism and highlight parallels and differences between the U.S. and Zimbabwe.
