Lost or Stolen Alien Card

If your green card has been stolen or is lost, you need to apply for a transportation letter in order to return to the U.S. You need to come to the Consular Section, in person with the following documents:

• Your passport
• Proof that you are a resident of the U.S
• Proof that you have not been away from your U.S. residence for more than one year
• A police report showing the card was lost or stolen
• Four-color photographs showing the right ear
